Last 3 project [Mar. 12th, 2008|05:13 pm]

This is the last project I did for uni. a YCN brief set by orange, looking at the future of communication. I decided to focus on the way new technology, such as video calling, is closing the perceived distance between families and friends, making it much simpler and more rewarding to stay in touch. This is kind of a visual metaphor for where this could lead to in the near future. The technological interface disappears, and someone the other side of the world becomes just an arms reach away.

Another YCN project, this time as a group. These are some bottle neck we designed for a 'feel good' campaign

This project was a reinterpretation of Little Red Riding Hood.

An image from my latest uni project. My own interpretation of the legend of Faust.

And this image was from the project before. It's my reinterpretation of the wolf from various children's stories

War Of The Worlds [Sep. 14th, 2007|12:58 am]

For my last project at uni we were asked produce a series of illustrations for a classic book. I chose 'War Of The Worlds' by H G Wells.

These are my initial thumbnails

Some more ideas

Final mocks

These were the images I submitted, but I was far from happy with them.

After working some more in the first image during the summer, I eventually came to this.

Magnets [Sep. 14th, 2007|12:48 am]

This an old Uni project I did last year. We had to make a graphic object that was interactive and responded to 8 different modes: Normal, Active, Passive, Show, Hide, Extrovert, Introvert and Opposite. I decided to make modular fridge magnet characters with sections that could be rearranged into any desired order.
